High Strength Vitamin K2 Tablets 500 mcg

  • 500mcg of Vitamin K2 as MK-7 in the all-trans configuration per tablet
  • Long half-life form ideal for once-daily supplementation
  • Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
Description

Vitamin K2 as MK-7 (menaquinone-7) has the longest half-life of any vitamin K form — circulating in the bloodstream for several days after a single dose. This makes it well suited to once-daily supplementation and helps maintain steady vitamin K status between doses.

The all-trans configuration is the biologically active form of MK-7. Some MK-7 ingredients contain a mixture of the active all-trans form and the inactive cis form; our K2 is sourced as all-trans only, so the full labelled dose is in the form the body can use.

Approved EFSA Health Claims for Vitamin K:

  • Contributes to the maintenance of normal bones

A shot in the dark

I take these in the hope that the ingested vitamin K2 will soon be catalysing terminal carboxilation of vascular matrix Gla proteins, which will redirect circulating Ca++ away from my soft tissues. I have absolutely no idea if that is the case, but it seems like a good idea to take them alongside my 4000IU of Vit D3

Made such a difference

I've gone from being admonished by the dentist to 'make sure I floss everyday' (I did) to being told how well I clean my teeth, and I only need to come in for a check up every year. I haven't changed how I clean my teeth, but I did start taking vitamin k2 a year ago.

In addition, Phoenix Nutrition have been great, I always get the order quickly and they sort out any issues in record time.
