Chromium Picolinate 1000mcg

  • 1,000mcg of elemental chromium as chromium picolinate per tablet — 2,500% NRV
  • Chelated form of chromium widely used in supplementation
  • Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels
Description

Chromium is a trace mineral that the body requires in small amounts. Chromium picolinate — chromium bound to picolinic acid — is the form used in the majority of clinical research on this mineral and is recognised as one of the more bioavailable forms compared to chromium chloride and other inorganic forms.

Our tablets deliver 1,000mcg of elemental chromium per tablet, equivalent to 2,500% of the EU Nutrient Reference Value. The high percentage reflects that the NRV (40mcg) is set as a relatively low maintenance level, while supplemental chromium is typically used in the 200-1,000mcg range.

Approved EFSA Health Claims for Chromium:

  • Contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism
