Vitamin K2 MK-4 1000 mcg

  • 1,000mcg of Vitamin K2 in the MK-4 (menaquinone-4) form per tablet
  • Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
  • Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting
Description

Vitamin K2 belongs to the menaquinone family of vitamin K compounds, which differ from the more common K1 (phylloquinone) found in leafy greens. MK-4 is the short-chain menaquinone found naturally in animal products such as egg yolks, butter and certain organ meats, and is the form the body produces from K1 in small amounts.

Our tablets deliver 1,000mcg of pure MK-4 per tablet — a substantial dose that reflects MK-4's shorter half-life in the body compared with the longer-acting MK-7 form. Higher MK-4 dosing has been studied extensively in Japan, where it is used in the regulated treatment of certain bone-density conditions.

Just what I need

I did a lot of research for post bypass supplements and Vitamin K2 is recommended to reduce calcification in the arteries. Phoenix came out as top for the quality of the product and the availability of the MK-4 version. All delivered on time.

Excellent all round

Large quantity for a great price.
Difficult to find elsewhere, especially for this price. No stimulating effect like I sometimes find with MK7 K2. Pills are small and easy to swallow. Dose is very good. I have been impressed with the quality and prices of Phoenix Nutrition for years now and will continue to buy from them.
