Zinc Picolinate 15 mg

  • 15mg of elemental zinc as zinc picolinate per tablet — 150% NRV
  • Chelated picolinate form, widely used in zinc supplementation
  • Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system
Description

Zinc is an essential trace mineral involved in over 300 enzyme reactions in the body, including DNA synthesis, protein synthesis and the maintenance of skin, hair and nails. The human body holds only 2-3 grams of zinc in total and cannot store it long-term, so a steady dietary or supplemental intake matters.

Our tablets use zinc picolinate — zinc bound to picolinic acid, a naturally-occurring chelating compound derived from the amino acid tryptophan. Zinc picolinate is one of the most commonly chosen chelated forms of zinc and is well absorbed by most users.

Each tablet delivers 15mg of elemental zinc — equivalent to 150% of the EU Nutrient Reference Value of 10mg. For long-term high-dose zinc use, pairing with copper is sensible since zinc and copper compete for absorption.

Approved EFSA Health Claims for Zinc:

  • Contributes to normal cognitive function
