Vitamin A 10000IU

  • 3,000mcg (10,000IU) of Vitamin A as retinyl acetate per tablet — 375% NRV
  • Preformed Vitamin A in the natural retinyl acetate form
  • Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
Description

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in two main dietary forms: preformed Vitamin A (retinol and its esters such as retinyl acetate, found in animal-source foods) and provitamin A carotenoids (found in plant foods, which the body partially converts to retinol). Our tablets use retinyl acetate, a stable form of preformed Vitamin A that is identical in biological activity to the retinol the body produces from its own conversion of beta-carotene.

Each tablet delivers 3,000mcg (10,000IU) of Vitamin A as retinyl acetate. The body stores Vitamin A in the liver, so daily supplementation is not essential and many users take this product several times per week rather than daily.

Important: Vitamin A is fat-soluble and can accumulate in the body. The EFSA Tolerable Upper Intake Level for adults is 3,000mcg/day from supplements. Pregnant women should not exceed 700mcg/day from supplements and should consult their doctor before taking any Vitamin A supplement, as high doses are associated with risks during pregnancy.

Approved EFSA Health Claims for Vitamin A:

  • Contributes to normal iron metabolism
